Routine Health Checks

Including blood pressure and cholesterol checks are also available to any patient who has not attended in the previous 3 years. This is especially important for patients over the age of 65. 

Test Results

Please call between 4pm and 5pm  each day to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request between these times.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.

The safest way to protect children and adults

THERE WILL BE NO WALK-IN BABY CLINICS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Baby Clinic

The Practice runs a baby clinic at Carrick Hill every Wednesday afternoon between 2pm and 3pm. 

From Wednesday 7th June 2017 you will need to make an appointment to have your Child/Childrens immunisations.

The Health Visitor is also in attendance during the baby clinic.

If you are entitled to receive a flu vaccine and have not yet received it, please telephone Dr Crossins Surgery and make an appointment in the treatment room.

If you normally receive your vaccine from the DISTRICT NURSE please inform the receptionist.

DIABETIC, WARFARIN, COPD AND ASTHMA PATIENTS – If you have an appointment to see the Nurse you can receive your vaccine at these clinics.

Non NHS Services

Most of the services we provide are free under the National Health Service.  However, a few services are not covered by the NHS and a charge will be made.

Just like other professionals, such as accountants and solicitors, a charge is made for the Doctors time and also professional responsibility.  A list of charges for private work is as follows:

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to help you with any queries.
